A 14 year old girl was referred to the Talk, Don’t..Walk after a number of incidents of running away from home.

Rachel was keen to engage with the project and had a real rapport with her nominated support worker. It was quickly identified that Rachel had a number of key issues within both the home and at school.

Rachel’s parents also began to engage in the project and communications at home began to improve. There were a number of agencies involved in meeting Rachel’s care requirements and at the instigation of the support worker with consent from both Rachel and her parents, a meeting was scheduled.
